We will be looking for a new teacher for the Frog class next year. If you or someone you know may be interested, please e-mail president@downeycoop.com. Below is a description for the position (it may be altered some as we start the search process). We’ll start meetings to begin finding a replacement the first week of February.
Downey Co-op is proud to be a part of the Irvington Halloween Street Festival, a neighborhood tradition for over 60 years. We will have an information booth set up in the Irvington Library parking lot. Please stop by and get a complimentary baggie of homemade playdoh!
The festival is an annual event that provides entertainment (see their website for a schedule), food, and vendors throughout Irvington. There are events for all ages, and booths from over 150 vendors. Those over 21 can visit the Beer Garden featuring selections from Black Acre, Sun King, Flat12, and Indiana City.
The festival is Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on East Washington Street between Ritter (to the west) and Bolton (to the east). Admission is free!
